The Smith 2k All-Purpose Vehicle is capable of transport by land, water or air utilizing compressed air to lift and propel it during travel. The land-based drive train and the aviatic air compression system are powered either mechanically, by the vehicle's engine, or electrically by rechargeable battery banks and generators(or a combination thereof). This effectively reduces the vehicle's reliance upon fossil fuels.

Roads are more congested than ever and often don't have a direct route to a driver's destination, resulting in unnecessary travel. These factors contribute to wasted time and fuel expenditure, along with creating excessive hazardous emissions from conventional automobiles. The present invention will provide drivers with an energy-efficient vehicle on crowded roads and an alternate means of travel, whether by sea, or air. It even has submersible capabilities!

The foundation for the Smith 2k is the concept of using compressed air as a means of propulsion. Jet nozzles along the undercarriage provide lift, and similar nozzles and propellers on the sides provide propulsion and control. The Smith 2k is thus capable of Vertical Takeoff and Landing(VTOL), land transport, water and submersible transport, and air transport.Also anti gravity research is being explored as resource or option adding to the current engineering design. The Smith 2k has been granted a United States patent.
